The Devdaha Education Development Project (DEDP) was established as a visionary initiative of Lumbini Buddhist University (LBU) to create a center of academic excellence rooted in Buddhist wisdom traditions. Located across a 65-hectare campus in Devdaha Municipality – the historic maternal hometown of Prince Siddhartha – DEDP operates under the distinguished patronage of LBU’s Chancellor, the Right Honorable Prime Minister of Nepal, and is guided by an international governing council of nine members. This unique governance structure ensures the institution maintains global standards while staying true to its local cultural heritage.

Conceived as a wisdom center for human civilization, DEDP has developed world-class infrastructure including modern lecture halls, comprehensive libraries, advanced research laboratories, and beautifully designed public spaces that reflect Nepal’s architectural heritage.
